The bill would require school districts to publish in their student handbook whether they have adopted and enforce policies and procedures that prescribe penalties for the use of e-cigarettes. The bill would require the board of trustees of a school district to prohibit the use or possession of e-cigarettes on school property or at a school-related or school-sanctioned activity on or off school property. Local Government Impact No significant administrative costs are anticipated for school districts to amend local policies and publish in the student handbook.
