                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 21, 2015      TO: Honorable Charles Perry, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB987 by Zaffirini (Relating to the regulation of dangerous wild animals.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to exemptions from certain regulations of dangerous wild animals.  The bill would add organizations that are members of the Zoological Association of America to the list of exempt organizations and properly reflect the name of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  Based on information provided by the Parks and Wildlife Department, any costs associated with implementing the provision of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
