                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 6, 2015      TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SJR22 by Creighton (Proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.  The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $118,681.  The resolution would amend the constitution to state the people have the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife subject to relevant laws and regulation, and that hunting and fishing are preferred methods of wildlife management.  The proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to voters on November 3, 2015.   Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
