                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1001
 WHEREAS, One Voice Texas is celebrating its 10th anniversary
 in 2015, and the occasion provides a fitting opportunity to take
 note of the success of this unique consortium of health and human
 services organizations in the greater Houston area; and
 WHEREAS, One Voice Texas works to consolidate the common
 interests, goals, and work efforts of more than 100 public,
 private, and nonprofit organizations in order to strengthen the
 delivery of basic services in Texas; the group takes particular
 interest in addressing issues related to health care, education,
 services for children and youth, behavioral health, and the basic
 needs of communities; and
 WHEREAS, By enabling its member organizations to pool
 their resources and expertise, One Voice Texas facilitates
 grassroots solutions to short-term problems while simultaneously
 unifying the voices of its diverse membership to advocate for
 public policy, legislative, and regulatory changes on behalf of
 health care providers and consumers, family members, funding
 agencies, community organizations, and law enforcement; and
 WHEREAS, For the past decade, One Voice Texas has worked to
 increase the capacity of the health care system and to foster
 collaboration among its various stakeholders in order to build a
 healthier and more secure future for every resident of the Lone
 Star State; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby commemorate the 10th anniversary of the
 founding of One Voice Texas and extend to its staff and member
 organizations sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 prepared for One Voice Texas as an expression of high regard from
 the Texas Senate.
