SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 234
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of
its 30th anniversary, which is being celebrated throughout the
year and at a gala event on April 11, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce was
established in 1985 with the support and guidance of such
community leaders as Mike Grimes, L. W. Parker, and Buddy
Priesmeyer; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the chamber has grown from 36
charter members to include approximately 300 members who play an
important role in supporting businesses, area residents, and
organizations; over the years, the chamber has been dedicated to
combining business and community resources to strengthen the
area's economic opportunities; and
WHEREAS, The chamber has initiated a wide range of programs
that have had a positive impact on Pflugerville's continuing
growth, including the Forward Pflugerville campaign, the Best
Little Auction in Texas fund-raiser, Halloween on Main Street,
Chamber Chatter, the Landowners' Council, and the Third
Thursdays networking programs; and
WHEREAS, The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce has been
instrumental in making Pflugerville an ideal place in which to
live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce
on its many contributions to the growth and prosperity of the
City of Pflugerville and extend to its members best wishes for a
memorable 30th anniversary celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the chamber as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
