                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 2, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1076 by Oliverson (Relating to the mandatory spinal screening of public and private school students.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to the mandatory spinal screening of public and private school students. The Department of State Health Services and the Health and Human Services Commission indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
