                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 14, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1138 by Davis, Yvonne (Relating to allowing a member of the board of trustees of an independent school district to visit school campuses.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bills provisions would allow a member of the board of trustees of an independent school district to visit any campus in the school district for observation without requesting or obtaining permission from a school district administrator or employee prior to the visit. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins.
