The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code relating to the creation of the Kaufman Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-A. The district has authority for road projects. The district may impose an assessment on property in the district and may issue bonds and other obligations for road projects. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives two thirds vote in each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
