                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 10, 2017      TO: Honorable Charles Perry, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1208 by Gooden (Relating to the powers and duties of the Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-D; providing authority to issue bonds, impose a tax, and levy assessments.), As Engrossed    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code establishing the Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-D. The district has authority for road projects. The district has authority to impose assessments on property in the district and issue bonds and other obligations. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
