The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to remove the provision that prohibits defendants who have been placed on community supervision from serving all or part of a sentence of confinement in an electronic monitoring program. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
