                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 20, 2017      TO: Honorable Phil King, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB134 by Dutton (Relating to a peace officer training advisory committee.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to create a law enforcement officer training advisory committee. The committee would be required to study the training programs established and maintained by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, and would be required to report its study findings to the Legislature not later than December 1, 2018.  It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
