                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 14, 2017      TO: Honorable Angie Chen Button, Chair, House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1352 by Pickett (Relating to the conveyance of property by a municipality for the public purpose of economic development.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code relating to the transfer of real property for economic development to an entity to promote economic development in the municipality. The bill would require that notice of the transfer of the property must be published in a newspaper in general circulation in the county. Local Government Impact The City of El Paso estimates the cost to run the newspaper notice would cost not more than $4,800 per year.
