                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 20, 2017      TO: Honorable Abel Herrero, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1406 by Blanco (Relating to the authority of the asset management division of the General Land Office to sell real property to a federally recognized Indian tribe.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to allow the General Land Office (GLO) to sell land to a federally recognized Indian tribe.  GLO has indicated it could implement the provisions of the bill with existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
