The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the exchange or certain information between the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD). This analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
