The bill would amend the Family Code and Human Resources Code relating to the provisions of services by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), including child protective services and prevention and early intervention services. This analysis assumes the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
