                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 27, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate  Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1549 by Burkett (Relating to the provision of services by the Department of Family and Protective Services, including child protective services and prevention and early intervention services.), Conference Committee Report    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code and Human Resources Code relating to the provisions of services by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), including child protective services and prevention and early intervention services. This analysis assumes the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
