The bill would amend the Family Code relating to a voluntary temporary caregiver program providing temporary care for children removed from their homes. This analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house; otherwise this bill takes effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
