                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 22, 2017      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1756 by Neave (Relating to the establishment of one or more supplemental county civil service commissions in certain counties.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code allowing a commissioners court of a county that has established a civil service system to establish one or more supplemental commissions to assist in administering the civil service system. The Office of Court Administration anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state court system, or to local courts, from the provisions of the bill.  The bill would take effect immediately if the bill receives a two-thirds vote in each house;otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
