                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 25, 2017      TO: Honorable Carol Alvarado, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1879 by Romero, Jr. (Relating to a study on migrant labor housing facilities.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to conduct a study evaluating migrant labor housing facilities. Under the provisions of the bill, TDHCA would be required to submit a report on the findings of the study to the legislature by September 1, 2018. TDHCA estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.  Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
