                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2017      TO: Honorable Jodie Laubenberg, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1893 by Reynolds (Relating to an election services contract between a county elections administrator and a political party.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code related to service contract between a county elections administrator and a political party in accordance with a cost schedule agreed on by the contracting parties.   The LBB assumes any state costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.  Local Government Impact According to Fort Bend County and Hunt County, no fiscal impact to local government is anticipated.
