The bill would amend the Family Code to prohibit a court from rendering an order contrary to the express wishes of a child's parent except under specific circumstances. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished with existing resources.
