                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 14, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Flynn, Chair, House Committee on Pensions      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1976 by Sheffield (Relating to a study of the use of a patient-reported outcomes registry in conjunction with health coverage for certain governmental employees.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would direct the Employees Retirement System (ERS) and Teacher Retirement System (TRS) to study the use of a patient-reported outcomes registry for musculoskeletal care in conjunction with health coverage for certain governmental employees. ERS and TRS assume any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
