The bill would amend Chapter 1321 Acts of the 77th Legislature relating to the board of directors of the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District. The number of directors on the board would be reduced from nine to five and the members would be elected instead of appointed. A director may not serve more than three full terms. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
