                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 27, 2017      TO: Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2025 by Davis, Yvonne (Relating to staff requirements for certain facilities that provide care to persons with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require certain facilities that provide care to individuals with Alzheimer's disease or dementia to employ at least one individual with training or experience in providing care to an individual with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The bill would also require the Health and Human Services Commission to take certain enforcement actions against facilities that violate that requirement. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.The Health and Human Services Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
