The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to workers' compensation death benefit eligibility of certain spouses.The Department of Insurance, State Office of Risk Management, Texas Department of Transportation, Texas A&M University System, and University of Texas System assume any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.This analysis assumes implementation costs to all affected agencies could increase in future years after fiscal year 2022 due to the growth of the number of eligible beneficiaries.
