This bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the eligibility requirements for employment as an ombudsman of the Office of Injured Employee Counsel under the Texas Workers' Compensation Act. Based on information provided by the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, this analysis assumes the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
