The bill would amend the Insurance and Labor Code relating to changing statutory references to hearing officer and hearings office to administrative law judge under the workers' compensation system. The Department of Insurance and State Office of Risk Management indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agencies' existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
