Morrison, Chair, House Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2163 by Wray (Relating to the elevation of high-speed rail tracks in certain counties.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code by requiring high speed rail tracks located in a county or adjacent to a county with a population of more than one million to be elevated on pylons 40 feet or more above the ground.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact According to Harris and Dallas Counties, no fiscal impact is anticipated.
