                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 11, 2017      TO: Honorable Lyle Larson, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2187 by Lucio III (Relating to the revocation or amendment of a certificate of public convenience and necessity for water utilities in a service area.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Water Code and the Government Code relating to the revocation or amendment of a certificate of public convenience and necessity for water utilities in a service area. Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission (PUC), duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
