A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to interstate purchases of goods and services through the
office of the comptroller of public accounts; authorizing a fee.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 2156, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 2156.182 to read as follows:
Sec. 2156.182. OTHER INTERSTATE PURCHASES AND SALES.
Subject to any limitation imposed by Section 2156.181, the
commission may authorize one or more state governments, agencies of
other states, or other governmental entities to purchase goods or
services through the commission. The commission may charge a
reasonable administrative fee for a purchase of goods or services
under this section.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
