                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 23, 2017      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2279 by Goldman (Relating to the regulation of residential service contracts.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the regulation of residential service contracts.Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the State Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Real Estate Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.  Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
