                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 18, 2017      TO: Honorable Lyle Larson, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2358 by Metcalf (Relating to the affidavit of a voter in a confirmation election for a water district.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Water Code relating to a voter affidavit in an election for a water district. The bill would require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to create a voter affidavit to be used in the elections. The OAG assumes any work associated from implementing the provisions of the bill can be done within existing resources. The bill would take effect January 1, 2018. The bill would amend the Water Code relating to a voter affidavit in an election for a water district.
