The bill would amend the Water Code relating to eligible voters in a confirmation election for a conservation and reclamation district. The bill would require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to create a voter affidavit to be used in the elections. The OAG assumes any work associated from implementing the provisions of the bill can be done within existing resources. The bill would take effect January 1, 2018. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
