                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 18, 2017      TO: Honorable Roland Gutierrez, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2486 by Stucky (Relating to restoration of the position of public employees when relieved of duty from the Texas military forces or a similar unit.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code requiring an employee who is a member of the Texas military forces when relieved of duty to be restored to the position they held when they were ordered to duty.  The bill would apply to an employee of this state, a municipality, a county, or another political subdivision of this state.  The bill would take effect immediately if the bill receives a two-third vote in each house; otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
