The bill would repeal Sections 755.038(a)-(c) of the Health and Safety Code which limits compensation for emergency services commissioners to $3,000 per year. The bill would change the compensation to match port authority directors not to exceed $7,200 per year. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
