                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2017      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2504 by Hernandez (Relating to the compensation provided to the governing body of certain special districts.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would repeal Sections 755.038(a)-(c) of the Health and Safety Code which limits compensation for emergency services commissioners to $3,000 per year. The bill would change the compensation to match port authority directors not to exceed $7,200 per year. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
