                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2017      TO: Honorable James White, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2507 by González, Mary (Relating to contracts for the housing of inmates released on parole or to mandatory supervision.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Department of Criminal Justice to include certain additional provisions in contracts with private vendors for the operation of facilities to house offenders released on parole or mandatory supervision. According to TDCJ, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated to comply with the provisions of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
