The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to direct the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to establish an amelioration and informal dispute resolution process for providers participating in certain Medicaid waiver programs. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.Based on the Legislative Budget Board analysis of HHSC, duties and responsibilities associated with establishing an amelioration and informal dispute resolution process could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
