A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a highway toll exemption for public school buses.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 372, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 372.054 to read as follows:
Sec. 372.054. PUBLIC SCHOOL BUSES. A toll project entity
may not require a school bus exempt from registration fees under
Section 502.453 to pay a toll for use of a toll project.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
