Morrison, Chair, House Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB272 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to a required training course on human trafficking for commercial driver's license applicants.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require applicants for an original commercial driver license to provide evidence of having completed a course on the recognition and prevention of human trafficking that has been approved by the Department of Public Safety.  The bill would take effect immediately upon a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each chamber. If not, then the bill would take effect September 1 2017.
