                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 1, 2017      TO: Honorable Carol Alvarado, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2728 by Bohac (Relating to the evaluation of an application for a low income housing tax credit.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the evaluation of an application for a low income housing tax credit. The bill would require an applicant to provide the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) written statements of support from the state senator and state representative who represent the district containing the proposed development site. TDHCA anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
