                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2017      TO: Honorable Gary Elkins, Chair, House Committee on Government Transparency & Operation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2750 by Hinojosa, Gina (Relating to requiring a public employer to give notice to new employees of the ability of certain employees to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require a public employer to provide written notice to an employee of the ability of eligible employees to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program administered by the United States Department of Education. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within current resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
