The bill would amend statute to remove river authorities as subject to review by the Sunset Advisory Commission (Commission). As river authorities are currently required by statute to pay costs incurred by the Commission in performing its review, no fiscal impact to the state is anticipated. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. River authorities would achieve cost avoidance from no longer being required to reimburse the Commission for costs related to their review.
