                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2017      TO: Honorable John Frullo, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2809 by Cyrier (Relating to the eligibility of certain Texas Rangers for burial in the state cemetery.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Government Code relating to the eligibility of certain Texas Rangers for burial in the state cemetery. Based on information provided by the Office of the Governor and the State Preservation Board, this analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
