The bill would amend the Education Code related to arrests for certain Class C misdemeanors. The bill would: allow a warrant to be issued for the arrest of a person for certain offenses committed while the person was in a disciplinary alternative education program; allow peace officers and school resource officers to issue citations to certain students; and specify the circumstances under which a school may file a complaint against a child with a criminal court.
