Lozano, Chair, House Committee on Higher Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2988 by Frullo (Relating to authorization for the conveyance of certain real property from Texas Tech University to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Education Code relating to authorization for the conveyance of certain real property from Texas Tech University to Texas Tech University Health Science Center. This analysis assumes that any costs for the Texas Tech University System to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.The bill would take immediate effect if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house of the Legislature. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
