                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 20, 2017      TO: Honorable Carol Alvarado, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3010 by Lucio III ( Relating to authorizing and financing certain sports and community venue projects.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code related to authorizing and financing certain sports and community venue projects. The bill would allow a municipality located on the international border to use short-term motor vehicle rental tax to finance certain sports and community venue projects. The Comptroller estimates no significant fiscal impact to the State from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.   Local Government Impact According to Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
