This bill amends the Occupations Code relating to the number of hours of work experience required of a plumber's apprentice to take an examination for a plumber's license. The bill allows the board to credit an applicant seeking a plumber's license with up to 250 hours of the work experience required to take the examination if the applicant has completed a coherent sequence of study in a construction trade Career and Technology Education program.The Texas Education Agency and the Board of Plumbing Examiners indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agencies' existing resources.
