The bill would amend the Government Code concerning investment training requirements for certain local officers by amending and repealing certain provisions. The bill also re-enacts Section 2256.008(a). Section 2256.008(a-1), of the Government Code, would be repealed.The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house. If the bill does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect it would take effect September 1, 2017.
