                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 31, 2017      TO: Honorable John Kuempel, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3125 by Kuempel (Relating to charitable raffles conducted by certain professional sports team charitable foundations.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to expand the number and types of professional sports teams for which an associated charitable foundation is authorized to conduct a charitable raffle. The Office of the Attorney General, Comptroller of Public Accounts, and Texas Lottery Commission anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill cold be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
