                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 29, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3231 by Bohac (Relating to the application of the financial accountability system for open enrollment charter schools to the charter school of a public senior college or university.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill's provisions require a charter schools operated by a public senior college or university to be evaluated under financial accountability indicators, but not assigned a financial accountability rating.  Indicators could still be used for charter school performance standards.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins.
